All clients receive the personal attention of company founder and president Mitch Levine. He founded The Film Festival Group after serving as Executive Director and CEO of the renowned Palm Springs International Film Festivals. In 2004, he produced the first Bahamas International Film Festival, and last year produced the first International Emerging Talent Film Festival in Monaco. He served on the staff of the Juilliard School in New York following a fellowship there and received a Master in Fine Arts from the American Film Institute, where he was the recipient of the first James Cameron Fellowship in Directing. There, he directed COLETTE, based on the French writer, STALE IDENTITY, an homage to Hitchcock and film noir and SHADOWS, a multi-award winning exploration of love, family and the attraction of evil during the Holocaust. He is curently in post-production for his new documentary, MORPHING GRAVITY, chronicling the creation of Lisa Giobbi's aerial ballet, "FIGHT OR FLIGHT." He recently directed multiple episodes of the new sit-com, LIVING & LEARNING for C/W in New York and the documentary feature film, HUNGRY IS THE TIGER, which explores the food crisis in India and Indonesia using both traditional performance and contemporary documentary techniques. Mitch is also a directing member of the legendary Actors Studio.
Levine has chaired or participated on panels focusing on almost every aspect of the art and craft of cinema and the performing arts. He was the founding producer and host of Cinema’s Legacy: How Great Filmmakers Inspire Great Filmmakers for the American Film Institute and has presented, moderated or directed tributes and conversations featuring Quincy Jones, Salvatore Ferragamo, Angelica Huston, Sharon Stone, Elton John, Kanye West, Versace, Guns n Roses, Charlize Theron. Jessica Lange, Leslie Caron, Rutger Hauer, Elmer Bernstein, Donald Sutherland, Tab Hunter, Rachel Weisz, Rosario Dawson, Chris Columbus, Aaron Eckhart, Philip Kaufman, Janet Leigh, Lynn Redgrave, Ang Lee, Charlton Heston, George Clooney, Stephen Frears, Bruce Beresford, Christopher Nolan, Stephen Daldry, Edward Zwick, Roland Joffe, Franco Zeffirelli, Gregory Nava, Julie Taymor, Fernando Meirelles, Henry Jaglom, Normann Jewison, Neil LaBute and many others.
